THE golf course has been re-opened at the White Horse Country Park and it’s been ‘extremely busy’ with golfers keen to get back playing.
“The members have been absolutely delighted to able to play again after six weeks of the lockdown,” said Bob Rawlings, club secretary.
“We opened on Wednesday after the go ahead from the Government which was very welcome; the members are understandably really pleased to get out playing again.
“The sun is shining, the course is looking fantastic and it’s great to be back up and running.
“It’s members only at the moment, although we’ve still get a few place available for new members.
“We’ve got a new online booking system which you can find on our website and we’ve put all the measures in place to keep people safe.
“People can play in twos if they maintain social distancing, following Government guidelines. You have to book in advance and there is 20 minutes between tee times. Safety is obviously our main concern. The course is open from 8am to 6pm.
“The driving range isn’t open yet but we are looking at how that can be opened safely.”
