A NEW market event is starting in Westbury for parents to buy and sell children’s items and socialise with other families.
The first Cheeki Monkeys sale will be held at Westbury Leigh Community Centre on Saturday 13th June. Lisa Jenkins is the events organiser for Westbury, Melksham and Chippenham.
Lisa said, “I have two cheeky monkeys of my own, and wanted to help put on community events for the whole family, where mums and dads can buy or sell quality, gently used babies’ and children’s toys, clothes and equipment.
“The events provide a place for local families to make money while recycling unwanted items. Also on offer are homemade tasty treats, handmade unique crafts and a way for parents to find out more from local businesses with a family focus.
“Sellers keep every penny they make and buyers will discover a huge range of items at bargain prices. With many quality brands at a fraction of high street prices, it’s a great event for savvy mums and dads.
“Children are welcome to come along – all our markets are buggy and wheelchair friendly, and there will be plenty to keep the little ones amused.
“Cheeki Monkeys’ Baby & Children’s Markets are warmer and cosier than a car boot sale; our markets are held indoors!
“Also on the 13th will be two princesses to open the event and meet some lucky children, glitter tattoos, photography, children’s nutrition advice and children’s skin care products, drinks, snacks and much more!”
Cheeki Monkeys’ first Westbury sale is on at Leigh Park Community Centre on Saturday 13th June from 10.00am-12.00 noon. Stalls are still available.
