THERE’S an exciting and varied line-up of entertainment planned over the coming weeks at the Memorial Theatre.
First up is a Fun Quiz Night on Friday 20 May – 7.00pm in the Assembly Rooms. Teams of 4 (maximum) are £10 per team with prizes for 1st & 2nd placed teams.
Saturday 21st May (8.00pm) sees The All-Star Stand-Up Tour 2016 arrive in town, presenting four heavyweight comics in the biggest comedy tour of the year.
It features double Sony Award winner and star of Mock The Week Gary Delaney; top comedy trickster and star of BBC 1’s The Magicians Pete Firman; Kiwi compere Jarred Christmas and unbeaten legend, Never Mind The Buzzcocks team captain and one of Channel 4’s ‘100 Greatest Stand-Ups in the World’ – Sean Hughes.

Following on with be Jukebox & BobbySox on Friday 27 May at 7.30pm.
This show will have audiences rockin’, clappin’ singin’ and dancin’ in the aisles! A high energy show, celebrating music and style from two of the most influential decades in music history.
Songs will be instantly recognised as the cast of 14 pay tribute to all the great artistes and bands of that extraordinary era, celebrating stars such as Dusty Springfield, The Everly Brothers, Connie Francis, Elvis Presley, Brenda Lee, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Petula Clark, Billy Fury and Cilla Black.
Adding to the wonderful sounds are a live band, fantastic backing vocalists, colourful costumes….and the brilliant Bobbysox Dancers.

Next month sees comedy legend Jethro coming to town with his acclaimed 40 Years The Joker tour on Friday 03 June at 7.30pm
He promises a memorable evening of hysterical nonsense, as we take a peek into the circus lurking deep within the mind of, one of the greatest comic storytellers ever to grace the stage.
Jethro beguiles and befuddles his audience with the endless stream of irreverent twaddle that has created a comedy genius.
