WESTBURY Alley Film Club will be showing John Carpenter’s horror classic Halloween on Friday 28th October at the skittle alley of the Horse and Groom on Edward Street.
On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year-old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith. He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes…
Cinema organiser Julian Phelps said, “If you are 18 or over and enjoy horror films this is a chance to watch a classic in the surroundings of an intimate 40 seat cinema with friends.”
Landlord Bob Musker, said, “Those that want to dress up in Halloween outfits are encouraged to do so and there will be after film Halloween drinks in the Horse and Groom.”
Tickets are on the door at £6. You can reserve seats through the Westbury Alley Film Club Facebook page.
Coming up next month (16th November) at the film club is Rams. Two curmudgeonly sheep farmers are faced with the destruction of their flock in rural Iceland, in a delicate film hovering between absurdity and tragedy.
