ABRAHAM’S Kitchen, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Westbury, are hosting a ‘Best Mince Pie in Westbury’ competition for all Westbury schoolchildren aged 16 and under.
The winners will be given a £25 Amazon voucher and announced at the Christmas lights switch-on event, which will be held on Saturday 27th November.
There are two classes, aged ten and over and aged 9 and under. Entries must be delivered in a clean box/wrapping to the Laverton, Bratton Road, Westbury on Monday 15th November from 10.30 to 12 noon.
Entries can be traditional mince pies or any variation such as mincemeat tart or mince pie cake – creativity is encouraged, but each bake must be of your own making.
Judging will take place on Monday 15th November at 2.30pm.
Founder of Abraham’s Kitchen, Julie Dyer said, “We have a great judging panel of self-professed mince pie experts, with the president of the Rotary Club Julie Sandoe, cllr Sheila Kimmins the Mayor of Westbury, the town council events manager, Ryan Child, and even Father Christmas himself.”
