Westbury barely gave themselves a chance of facing local rivals Warminster Town in the next round by not getting out of the blocks and trailing 0-2 after just seven minutes!
They will now have to focus solely on the league and hope to pick up points quickly to stave off a long winter!
Elliott Saunders got on the end of Ricky Charlton’s chip into the box to open the scoring in the 2nd minute then turned provider by curling in a corner which came off the crossbar to Scott Lewis who tapped it in!
Nathan Hallett-Young came closest to giving United a lifeline, but his header from Mark Young’s corner flew over the bar and, after Adam Collington had saved excellently to deny Eugene Dunn, slack defending cost Westbury again as Saunders was able to put the finishing touch to a set piece move on 27.
United midfielder Adam Bishop tried his luck from a free kick just before the break and was unlucky to see his attempt hit the post.
To their credit Westbury’s players showed a good deal of spirit by having a real go in the 2nd half but they simply couldn’t break down a hard working home defence. Young had an effort well saved by Liam Macfarlane while Steven Bryant and Josh Maguire were both off target.
The final goal came midway through the half when it was all too easy for Craig White as he ran in unchallenged to finish easily.
