The Dilton Marsh Local History Society will host a talk about Corfe Castle from an archaeologist who advised on its management.
Martin Papworth will lead the talk at Dilton Memorial Hall on Friday 28th November at 7.30pm.
During his time with the National Trust, Martin advised on the archaeological conservation and management of Corfe Castle.
In early August 2024, just a few weeks before he retired, he carried out one last dig to discover the side gate through which the enemy entered when they captured the castle in February 1646.
Admission to the talk costs £4 for non-members and £2 for members.
