Hundreds of people turned out for the Lions’ first family fun day, a new event for the town that offered a wide range of entertainment, including live music, funfair rides and donkey rides.
The event, held at White Horse Country Park on Sunday 1st September, was organised jointly by the Westbury and Trowbridge Lions Clubs and was hailed as a success, with many families enjoying the day’s activities.
Westbury Lions Club president, Heather Blackley, said, “The fun day was a great opportunity to introduce a new event to the town and give back service to the community, who are very loyal to our club throughout the year.”
The fun day also featured performances by local musicians and included a variety of food stalls, circus acts, games, stationary engines, superheroes and craft activities.
“The feedback we have received has been really positive,” added club treasurer, Angie.
