IMPERIAL Charity this month celebrated a string of successful events to end the summer.
Charity founder David McCance said, “Imperial Charity has had another successful fortnight. We organised a coach trip to Poole on 27th August and within a couple of days we had to arrange for another bus.”
“Then on the Sunday we had another of our variety shows at the Paragon Hall. Acts included international singer Gerri Waite, Chris Keward – voted magician of the year 2012 – and Jay McGee who has to be the funniest comedian/impressionist that we’ve ever had. Besides this, we have also provided entertainment at two more residential homes including the Westbury Residential & Nursing Home and Ravenscroft in Trowbridge. Again these shows are increasing in popularity and the demand is growing.”
Imperial Charity is committed to helping children and adults with special needs improve their quality of life, as well as offering the same to local senior citizens.
The charity arranges fun days to seaside resorts such as Poole, Weston-Super-Mare and Weymouth, organising shopping expeditions for the adults, arranging parties, producing variety shows and lending a helping hand wherever they can.
