At our Club meeting on 6th July President Pat handed over the chain of office to Joanna Earney and thanked members for their support over the past two years she had been President.
During her acceptance speech President Joanna thanked Pat, on behalf of the Club, for all she had done for the Club during that time, especially the introduction of two areas of work in the community which will be continued, the making of cakes for the Alzheimers Support Memory Café and regular donations to the Crosspoint Food Bank.
This is the third time for President Joanna as President and she is looking forward to a year of celebration and fun during the Club’s 60th Charter Anniversary year which will be celebrated in October.
Plans for charity fund raising events during the year include a Bingo Evening in November at Leigh Park where President Joanna’s son, Sean Price, will be the caller, a coach shopping trip to Southampton in November or December and a Fashion Show by Roman next Spring.
Details of these events will be advertised nearer the time.
