CHRISTMAS in Westbury is in full swing as the packed programme of events continues, with the Christmas ‘Street Event Day’ coming up this Saturday.
On Saturday 11th December the town centre will revel in festive fun with activities and entertainment from 10.00am-4.00pm. Highlights include a skating rink, climbing wall, fairground rides and sideshows, inflatables, music, street entertainers and hot food. All Saints Churchyard will host a Christmas Market, with stalls selling crafts and seasonal food. The church will also be open in the first weekend of the Christmas Tree Festival.
Westbury Library will host a “Children’s Christmas Crafts and Stories” event for children aged 4-12. The event from 10.00am-11.00am is free but must be booked in advance on 01373 822 294.
Festive celebrations in Westbury will continue right up to Christmas day. Details of all the festive events coming up can be found in the “Christmas in Westbury” booklet, which is distributed to every home in the local area. Booklets are also available from locations in the town which include the library, town council, and heritage centre.
Now in its fifth year, the town council’s ‘Christmas in Westbury’ programme features a range of major events together with the promotion of all local community events and activities – a festive programme with something for everyone.
