THE annual Great British Spring Clean event is coming to Westbury with a few opportunities for you to get involved and tiny our town.
This has become an annual event for many communities when they spruce up their area and get rid of unsightly litter ready to enjoy the hoped for sunshine.
The national event takes place over the coming weekend. Join in with the Leigh Park Litter Pick this Friday 2nd March from 10am, meeting at Leigh Park Community Centre to make your area free from litter.
Also, the community area group BA13+ has organised an event for this Sunday, 4th March.
One of the organisers, Phil McMullen said, “We plan to tidy up the top end of Frogmore Road (around Tesco Express), carrying on to Fore Street then round the corner into West End this Sunday, 4th March, between 2pm and 4pm. Tools and equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, especially gloves.
“All ages and abilities are welcome! Thanks for your support and interest – we hope to see you there.”
The meeting point is on Frogmore Road on the pavement next to the Tesco railings at 1.50pm. Anyone coming by car should park in the Market Place.
