Fiona Belson reports on recent results for the ladies’ section of the Westbury Golf Club.
“Monday the last Thurlestone Ladies Reunion was held at Westbury. The winner was Marie Collis. An enjoyable days was had by all who took part.
“Thursday’s midweek medal was won by Lady Captain, Pat Bell and yours truly was runner up.
“The May round of the Celia Dowell competition was won by Pauline Jones and the runner up was Ann Poolman.
“The Mixed Texas Scramble was won by Carol Barton, Tony Doman and Tony Smith. The runners up were Pauline Jones, Rob Johnson and Len Torrey. This competition was the first organised by the Ladies and was very well attended.
