Leigh Park Community Centre

As we come to the end of another busy and inspiring year at Leigh Park Community Centre, we are proud to celebrate the progress, achievements, and community spirit that continue to shape everything we do. 

One of our biggest milestones this year was the installation of our brand-new Community Fridge. Open to the public Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 7pm, the Community Fridge aims to reduce food waste while ensuring that everyone is welcome to access good, surplus food. The warm and positive response from local residents has been truly encouraging, and we look forward to expanding this initiative in the year ahead. 

We also completed the development of our new small space extension. This versatile room is now available for hire and is perfect for small meetings, workshops, and intimate events. With capacity for up to 20 people, it’s already becoming a popular choice for community groups and local organisations. 

Throughout 2025 we have continued to support a wide range of existing community groups who use the centre as a base for activities, learning and social connection. 

Our onsite catering team and The Lounge Coffee Shop have continued to grow from strength to strength. Open to everyone Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4pm, The Lounge has become a welcoming hub for great coffee, fresh food, and friendly conversation. Thank you to everyone who has supported it this year. 

With 2026 fast approaching, we are excited for what’s to come. Planning is already underway for our annual Family Fun Day, as well as a series of fundraising events including our popular comedy and race nights, and the continued development of our Community Allotment and Garden Project.
