WESTBURY Conservative Club has lots in store over the coming months with free live music and a variety of seasonal events.
Organisers say, “On Saturday 24th November local band Peaky Blinders perform. The Peaky Blinders were formed during a drunken evening in early 2015.
The aim was to put a band together to play a small festival. Three years on, the band are still playing the local pub/ festival scene and private functions, with a good few gigs under their belt and we still just love it.
“Then on Saturday 1st December, join Uncle Jack for a little bit of audience participation. Uncle Jack is a covers band with a difference – a live jukebox where you choose the tracks played. There will be over 80 classic tracks to select, from well-loved bands from the 60s to present day. This is a band that likes to be different – no sets, no breaks, just a full on, non-stop gig. So whether you like slow acoustic numbers or high octane rock – Uncle Jack can deliver.
“Feeling festive? Join in with the club’s Christmas Carol Concert with Corsham Band on Saturday 22nd December from 5pm-7pm followed by the club’s Christmas draw.
“Do you have children who are excited for Santa’s arrival? Let them burn off some steam at the Kids Christmas Party on Sunday 23rd December where the man himself may make an appearance, depending on his workload!
“Then when the big day is over, join in with the annual Boxing Day Horse Racing with the Gold Cup Grand National Festival. First race is at 1.30pm. “
