Villagers gathered to cheer on an 11-year-old boy as he completed a 60-mile running challenge for an autism charity.
Romeo Langley raised more than £500 for the National Autistic Society by running throughout June, a charity he chose to support because he has autism himself.
Friends and villagers cheered him on as he crossed the finish line and hit the 60-mile mark during his final run on 30th June.
“Thank you to everyone out there who supported my journey,” said Romeo, whose highlight of the challenge was running with his dad Joshua, who completed the 60 miles alongside him.
Joshua said, “It didn’t come without its challenges including the heatwave and his own struggles, but he rose to the challenge.
“Thank you to everyone for your support, it has helped raise some much-needed awareness and support for a charity close to our hearts. It’s been amazing to see everyone’s support. Big shout out to the Bratton community for the grand finish!”
Romeo is now keen to take on more fundraising challenges in the future.
The National Autistic Society supports autistic people and their families in the UK. The charity’s work includes running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights and training companies to be more autism-friendly.
