A fundraising team from Heywood House near Westbury have taken on a half marathon challenge for the Youth Adventure Trust.
Emma Norton, Hayley Wakley and Maggie Chapman have so far raised £800 by completing the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge to support the young people’s charity.
On Saturday 21st June, the team set off from Oare in Pewsey and completed a half marathon distance over the hills. Treats such as jelly babies fuelled the group as they encountered beautiful views, inquisitive sheep and changeable weather.
Emma, Hayley and Maggie said, “We’re incredibly proud to have taken on this challenge and overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who donated. It is great to know that the money raised will support vulnerable and disadvantaged young people through the Youth Adventure Trust.”
The Youth Adventure Trust uses a combination of one-to-one support and outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives.
