ABRAHAM’S Kitchen hosted the second Lunch @ The Laverton event on Thursday 27th October, a community event which saw residents treated to a free tasty hot lunch and the chance to have a chat and make some new friends.
Staffed by volunteers from the Westbury Area Network and Inner Wheel, the event was funded through grant support received from Tesco with the full support of Westbury Town Council.
Organisers say, “Guests were served chilli and rice with cheesy nachos and garlic bread. Some of the children who attended were not so sure about this, but most were willing to give it a try. The food received a firm thumbs up from the adults!”
After a short break over the Christmas period, Lunch @ The Laverton will be back again during the February 2023 school holidays.
