Make a Will scheme boost for local charity

A scheme whereby local people can make a Will and help the local ‘We Hear You’ charity, at no additional cost to themselves, has again been a big success.

Goodwills Legal Services Ltd is a specialist regulated law firm that has been assisting local families for many years. Goodwills offers a helpful and professional home visit service to assist people with Wills, Home Protection Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, pre-paid funeral plans and a range of other related services.

Goodwills made a substantial donation to the ‘We Hear You’ charity for every local person they assisted during November 2018 and everyone who mentioned the charity as the source of their enquiry throughout the rest of the year.  This raised £1,709.00 during 2018 to help those directly affected by life-threatening conditions, as well as their families and loved ones.

Lucy McMahon, communications assistant for We Hear You, based in Frome, said, “All our services are free to clients and support from companies such as Goodwills is essential to enable us to have the resources to work with as many people as possible. We are delighted that Goodwills raised such an incredible amount of money through this scheme in 2018.”

Michael Rhodes, the local Goodwills senior consultant said, “There is no additional cost to local people who still benefit from low prices such as only £88 for a standard Single Will or only £148 for standard Mirror Wills for a couple.

“We offer an individual, caring and professional service to local people and I am delighted that we have been able to support the valuable work of We Hear You.  People were pleased to know they we’re helping such an important local charity, whilst also gaining the peace of mind and protection of a professionally drawn up Will, Home Protection Trust, Lasting Power of Attorney or pre-paid funeral plan.”

The good news for We Hear You and for local people is that Goodwills will continue to make a donation to the charity for each person who mentions ‘We Hear You’ when booking their appointment.

Appointments can be booked by calling Michael Rhodes on 01373 593193 or 01225 683062 or contacting him by email at info@goodwillslocal.co.uk
