A Matravers School pupil has competed in the final of the 100m at the England Athletics Championships in Bedford.
Will Kennedy finished eighth in a very strong U17 men’s 100m in which he ran a wind assisted time of 10.97secs.
Will, who runs with Team Bath, also qualified for the final of the 200m but did not start. Dr Simon Riding, headteacher at Matravers School said, “We are absolutely delighted and proud to hear of Will’s continued achievements. He is a superb example of how hard work and dedication leads to success.”
