The Westbury Inner Wheel charity bingo night held in November at the Leigh Park Community Centre, raised the sum of £400 for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice in Devizes.
Members of the Inner Wheel said, “It was a fun evening and we would like to thank everyone who came along for helping to raise this wonderful amount of money for this exceptional local children’s charity.
“President Joanna and Jean Heath were delighted to visit Julia’s House to present the cheque on 14th February. Julia’s House provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
“Our next charity bingo night will be on Friday 6th April in aid of ‘Hope for Tomorrow’ and other Inner Wheel charities. ‘Hope for Tomorrow’ is a dedicated charity, bringing vital cancer care closer to patients’ homes via mobile cancer care units.
“This cancer charity develops, builds, provides and maintains these mobile cancer care units to support patients who are going through chemotherapy, by alleviating the stresses and strains of travelling for appointments, along with reducing hospital waiting times.
“We hope to have another enjoyable and successful evening in aid of another very worthwhile cause. It will again be held at the Leigh Park Community Centre at 7.00pm for 7.30pm.
“Our final fundraising event of this Inner Wheel year will be a Fashion Show by ‘Roman’ at The Laverton on the evening of Friday 27th April. Further details will be available soon.”
