Customers at Morrisons Westbury can enjoy tea and cake while raising funds for Sue Ryder on Saturday 25th April as the store hosts its first ever Communi-Tea Party.
The Alice in Wonderland themed tea party is being held in the store’s foyer from 9.30am until 3.30pm, with a range of delicious cakes on offer in exchange for donations to the health and social care charity Sue Ryder, which is Morrisons’ national charity partner.
Hot drinks will also be available, including Yorkshire Tea donated by Taylors of Harrogate, along with activities including a raffle, a ‘Guess the Number’ game and a search for the Cheshire Cat around the store. There will also be lots of colourful themed decorations done by the local children.
The store’s community champion Lisa Litterick said, “We’re very excited about our Communi-Tea Party for Sue Ryder and we hope lots of our customers and colleagues will come along and enjoy some tasty treats with all the wonderfully mad staff during our fun Alice in Wonderland day!
“We chose an Alice in Wonderland theme because it is something that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, and we’ve sent invites to local guests including the Town Mayor. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests into our store from across Westbury and raising as much money as possible for Sue Ryder.”
Money raised through the Morrisons Raise a Smile partnership with Sue Ryder is funding new community healthcare services, family support teams and an online community with online support, providing the best possible care to people at the end of their lives and support for their families.
