A FITNESS class with a difference for new mums launched by a Westbury mum, has become so successful it has been given a permanent spot at Leighton Recreation Centre.
Launched by Lucy Parker last month, Mumbod Fitness involves mothers exercising with their baby strapped to them in a sling or a carrier. The class is taught by Lucy, who is joined by her nine-month-old son, who ‘teaches’ alongside her, strapped in his carrier.
Lucy says, “The class has been so popular that we’ve now secured a permanent spot at Leighton and are looking to expand into neighbouring towns.”
The class focuses on body conditioning, muscular strength and endurance and can be tailored to any level of fitness.
“We are also running a ‘drop in’ session priced at £5 for anyone wanting to try the class on Thursday 26th July at 9.30am.”
