THE Dilton Marsh branch of the Mothers’ Union (MU) recently joined forces with the Westbury MU branch to collect donations to send to the Women’s Refuge in Salisbury.
The Dilton Marsh Holy Trinity Church says, “Thank you to everyone who so generously donated Christmas gifts for the families at the Salisbury Women’s Refuge.
“The gifts were taken to Salisbury Cathedral on Tuesday 21st November where a special Mother’s Union service was held for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence and the gifts were then delivered to the refuge.”
The Mothers’ Union is an international Christian charity that seeks to support families worldwide. Its members are not all mothers or even all women, as there are many parents, men, widows, singles and grandparents involved in its work.
