A Peppa Pig themed physical activity programme will be running again for pre-school at Leighton Recreation Centre next month.
The programme, aimed at two to four year olds, combines physical activity with storytelling to transport children into the world of their favourite cartoon character whilst helping keep them fit and healthy.
The six-week programme will run at Leighton Recreation Centre on Fridays, 10.30am – 11.15am starting on 5th June.
Founder of organising body Tumuv, Holly Woodford said, “The physical activity provision for the under-five age group is surprisingly limited, so we wanted to create a programme that would excite and inspire young children as they experience physical exercise.
“Children across the country have fallen in love with Peppa Pig, so how better to inspire younger generations to be active than through Peppa themed exercises?
“We are very excited to be working with our exclusive launch partner Places for People to deliver progressive activity sessions across a six week period to inspire and engage both parents and children.”
The weekly sessions will be 45 minutes long and are designed to build motivation, physical confidence, coordination, balance and agility using stories from the award-winning episodes.
Children in Westbury will be able to try the specially created Peppa Steppa dance routine, jump in custom made muddy puddles, and play piggy in the middle with Peppa and George.
Each six-week programme costs £39.90. To find out more or book a place, go to www.move withpeppa.com, or contact the Recreation Centre on 01373 824448.
