Geoff Miles, committee member at Dilton Marsh Memorial Hall said, “Dilton Memorial Hall was built and opened in 1921 as a memorial to local servicemen lost in the Great War, and it has remained a meeting place and venue for communal activities in the village since that time.
“The hall oozes character and has been extended on both sides to provide space for a kitchen and toilets and at the rear, to provide a stage and smaller rear meeting hall. There is free parking outside.
“The hall is managed by six elected trustees, plus representative members, which comprise a committee which meets monthly and are continually looking for different ways and activities to host and support the community. Amongst these are the occasional film nights that it is hoped, with local support, will become a regular feature.
“At the moment the hall hosts regular activities every day of the week, and at this time of the year, the village Pantomime takes centre stage which was sold out and received fantastic reviews. We are looking forward to welcoming you there in the future.”
