A hot afternoon but a somewhat tepid derby which Frome won courtesy of David Duru’s goal after half an hour.
Westbury had good spells in both halves but couldn’t find a way past Kyle Phillips.
Town’s Harry Lucas headed wide early on from George Dowling’s set piece. After that United were the better side for a while however CJ Stewart and Aaron Witchell didn’t find the target then Phillips made a good save from Sam Francis’ free kick.
Town stepped up their pressure and, after Joel Mannings had held an Archie Ferris header, they scored the only goal; Dowling delivered a deep ball which Ferris played onto Duru who finished with ease.

Just before the break Jamie Jordan twisted and turned on the edge of the box but his shot was deflected wide.
The opening 15 minutes of the second-half was all Westbury but they weren’t able to equalise! Josh Jenkins got in but took too long to shoot, then in the next attack his well struck attempt was superbly saved by Phillips!
The game went flat from then on with Frome content to sit on their lead. In the closing stages visiting midfielder Zac Drew’s shot hit his own man then Phillips saved again this time to deny Ali Sen.
Frome held firm deep in added time when Westbury had good possession then Sam Meakes burst forward but his finish was wayward.
