A charity which provides specialist vehicles with toilet facilities for disabled people, who would otherwise miss out on events, has moved into an office suite in Westbury.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated a new three-year lease on the offices in Bridge House, Station Road, at a quoting price of £11,000 per year.
Myddelton & Major surveyor Gary Mead said, “The new tenants are Vehicles for Change, a charity which hires out Mobiloos – mobile facilities which make getting out and about to events or venues possible for the 250,000 disabled people who would otherwise have to stay at home.
“It’s a wonderful idea and we’re very pleased to have helped the charity move into its new home in Westbury.”
Mobiloo is the first-ever attended mobile toilet service with a hoist and changing bench, and having one at an event like a music festival or sporting event means that everyone can attend.
There is a fleet of Mobiloos, each with their own name. One of the vehicles, Josephine, is named in honour of a music lover who only managed to attend one festival in her life, and then only for a couple of hours, because of the lack of appropriate facilities.
Vehicles for Change’s new home is a large 1,832 sq ft (170.2) suite on the first floor of a building with ancillary parking next to Westbury’s railway station.
Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2019 for the eighth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
