Real People Fitness offers fitness classes both in the community and 1-on-1 sessions at home and currently teaches a Pilates class in Westbury and Melksham.
Graham Marchmont, who has been teaching group exercise for seven years, and is a qualified Level 3 pilates instructor, now runs his own weekly Pilates classes at the Westbury Leigh Community Hall.
Graham said, “Real People Fitness is about offering fun and intense workout sessions for everyone. We want to break down the gym stereotype of being fit before you walk in the door. Join me for a workout that really works in a fun and non-judgemental atmosphere.
“There are many benefits to pilates. It works the whole body – all classes work towards a balanced approach as well as working on flexibility and improving range of movement in the joints. It also includes breathing and using the mind. It is hard to find any other class that provides all these areas.
“Pilates is adaptable to many levels of fitness, it improves posture, it increases mind and body connection, great for flexibility and is great for men and women.
Graham teaches a Pilates class at Westbury Leigh Community Hall on Monday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm at £6 per class and also at Melksham Blue Pool on a Thursday evening 6.15-7.15. (Please call the centre for current prices and availability).
“During the sessions we practice each exercise with purpose and concentration,” he added. “The main principles we work on during class are centering, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow – to help work towards a better mind and body connection.
“I love teaching. I feel very lucky to teach so many great people every week. I am also qualified in other disciplines including spin, step, aerobics, aqua fit and body pump and run evening and weekend classes every week.”
