The chain of office for president of the Inner Wheel Club of Westbury was passed by Joanna Earney to Maureen Boyd at a meeting held at The Royal Oak at Corsley, on 5th July, with Maureen being wished a happy year.
The club says, “President Maureen thanked Joanna on behalf of the club for making our celebratory 60th Anniversary year such fun. This is the fourth time for president Maureen and she urged members to consider taking on the role of vice-president in readiness for next July.
“Plans outlined for the year ahead include a progressive lunch, ‘blind skittles’ with Rotary, a quiz evening, assisting Rotary with the catering for their International Cuisine Evening and continuing with the making of cakes for the Alzheimer’s Support memory café and donations to the Crosspoint Foodbank.”
