July starts another year for the Inner Wheel Club of Westbury.
Retiring president Jean Heath handed over the chain of office to Pat Harper who takes over as president for 2015/16, giving her a warm welcome and wishing her a happy year.
Pat thanked Jean and presented her with a bouquet of flowers in appreciation of all her hard work over the past year. Pat has been a member of the Westbury Club for 45 years and was president for the first time in 1977.
“Looking ahead the club has a variety of events planned, both fund raising and social, and we look forward to welcoming new members,” said Sheila Buckton, club correspondent.
“Westbury is a very happy club and in the words of our new president, if we continue to offer friendship and support to each other, raise money for our chosen charities and have fun along the way, it should be a successful year.”
