The nation’s favourite contemporary choir, Rock Choir is coming to Westbury and is inviting local people to come for a free taster session.
Choir leader Matt Pallant, who also runs sessions in Trowbridge, Frome and Warminster, is excited to be bringing Rock Choir to Westbury and says, “I am so looking forward to meeting all the new members and teaching them some really great songs!
“Rock Choir’s ethos is very much about local people singing in their communities and supporting local causes, so it will fit right in in Westbury.”
The first session will be this Thursday, 22nd September from 8pm to 9.30pm, and sessions will then be held at the same time every Thursday at the Laverton.
Rock Choir is the UK’s largest contemporary choir, with more than 23,000 members in over 320 communities.
There are no auditions and no requirements to read music or have any previous singing experience. Rock Choir members get together each week to attend fun, friendly rehearsals where they are taught specially arranged pop and rock songs. There are lots of exciting performances throughout the year and many of them help raise money for charity.
