PREPARATIONS for this year’s Operation Christmas Child are under way but organiser Steve Lloyd is desperately searching for a garage or container storage to keep everything that is donated securely.
The collection is run by relief charity Samaritan’s Purse, and sends thousands of shoeboxes full of presents to impoverished children around the world.
Steve said, “We have already had a great response from people wanting to donate boxes but we haven’t got anywhere to put anything.
“Please, if anyone can offer us a garage or container for free or at a cheap rate, we would be so grateful.
“We want to continue to help others and make a difference in people’s lives, especially children, but we need the space to do it. It will be over the summer, so it is quite a while that we would need it for, and immediately.”
