BLUE Circle Bowls Club at the White Horse Country Park has opened for the new season and will be hosting an open day for anyone interested in trying their hand at outdoor bowls.
Secretary for the club, Karen Kirby said, “We are holding an open day on Sunday 3rd June between 11am and 3pm. Anyone is welcome to come along on the day and have a go. All you need is to wear flat shoes. Bowls and coaching will be provided. We also have a club night most Fridays from 6pm.
“We are always looking for new members and are open to all ages, male or female and any ability.
“The bowls green is located at the White Horse Country Park, beneath the White Horse. A lot of people in the town think it is still part of the cement works and as such is a private club, however this is not the case.
“The club has two qualified coaches and coaching can be arranged as required evenings and weekends and some weekdays by arrangement.
“If anyone would like more information on the club they can ring me on 01373 300843 or email karen.kirby @blueyonder.co.uk.”
