The well-known Piano Bike Girl is set to busk in Westbury next Tuesday as part of her UK-wide challenge to perform in every town in the country.
Musician Chloe Marie Aston, from Devon, rides a piano bike and has already busked in over 150 towns across the UK. Recently, she made it her mission to visit every town, performing a wide range of songs, including her own original material.
You can catch her Westbury performance in the town centre between 11am and 3pm on Tuesday 15th April. She will also be performing at the Frome Flea Market and Craft Fair on Sunday, 13th April, at West Woodlands Showground (see story above).
With a background in drama and music, Chloe developed an interest in open mics and performing cover songs.
However, when she was 14 years old, she found that playing the guitar hurt her fingers, so her dad came up with the idea of mounting a piano on a bike.
“Soon after, we started building it together, and it was ready for the summer of 2019,” says Chloe. “I finished school in 2020, and since then, I have been improving my songwriting skills and have released a few songs using a distribution app. I am now studying a music performance course in further education while building my presence on YouTube by releasing music videos for my original songs as well as covers. And, of course, I am still busking with my piano bike!”
