POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an incident which occurred in Westbury which left a woman feeling intimidated and fearful.
The police report, “Between approximately 4.30 pm and 4.45pm on August 2, a woman in her 20s was walking her dog in Warminster Road near to the Esso Garage when two men in a metallic green convertible car, possibly a BMW, pulled up alongside her.
“The men attempted to speak to the woman but she ignored them. The driver then turned the car around several times to drive past the woman repeatedly. The men continued to ask the woman questions before she told them to go away. They then verbally assaulted her before driving off.
“The driver is described as mixed race, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, of slim build, average height, with short curly hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a white shirt.
“The passenger is described as a white male, aged in his early 30s, or large build, average height, with short dark blonde hair. He was wearing a white and grey top.”
PC Sue Ellway added, “The behaviour of these men was intimidating and unacceptable towards a woman who was walking alone at the time. She was left feeling scared and intimidated. We’d like to appeal to anyone with information or anyone who may recognise the description of the vehicle and men involved to please get in touch.”
