It is now 214 years since Providence Baptist Church was established in Dilton Marsh.
This year’s anniversary will be marked by services on Saturday 6th at 4.00pm and Sunday 7th September at 10.30am and 6.00pm. Everyone is welcome.
The preacher at all these services is Rev Peter Atwill, whom the church supports in his work as a Chaplain with Canal Ministries. Peter and his wife Lin live for most of the year on a narrowboat called the Gospel Belle. They speak about Jesus Christ not just to other boaters but to anyone who they meet on canals and waterways as they travel round the country.
