MORE than 50 runners dressed in Christmas themed fancy dress took part in the annual Christmas Fun Run held at its new location at the Westbury Rugby Club on Saturday 10th December, organised by Redfish Events.
Now in its seventh year, the Christmas fun run gives experienced and beginner runners the chance to run between half a mile, a mile and three miles in a more relaxed and festive occasion, with prizes at the end.
Organisers say, “Thank you all for coming today on such a chilly morning; I hope you have managed to warm up! What a fantastic day it turned out to be, and even Father Christmas was able to pop in for a visit. I’d like to give a massive thank you to Westbury Rugby Club for letting us use the grounds.”
In the half-mile race the first male was Jordan Bradley and the first female was Sophia Carrivick. The first male in the one-mile race was Leonard Ibison, the first female was Stacey Fox, and the first dog was Alfie Brand. The first placed male in the three-mile race was Jensen Walsh-Hill and the first female was Claire Smart.
