A local man has been singing in his front garden to remember the people who have lost their lives to the Covid-19 virus.

Every Friday, Phil Mead from Heywood, has been entertaining the neighbours (at a safe distance of course) with hits from Elvis, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond and others.
“I just started doing it when I heard the song for NHS, You’ll Never Walk Alone, and thought I would continue the idea to remember the friends, family and loved ones which have lost their lives to Covid-19,” Phil told White Horse News.
“I started three weeks ago and it seemed to go down well so have just carried it on. I used to like doing karaoke and singing with my daughter, Kirsty, and I do the music for the Infinity Dance team.
“I’ve had a few people out every week to listen and they all seem to enjoy it so I’m planning to carry on. I’m self isolating myself after a recent operation but I felt I should do something, however small.”
