Westbury Rotary and Inner Wheel, supported by the local community, raised over £700 for the local branch of Guide Dogs for the Blind on Saturday 20th July.
They said, “The sun shone, which was a relief and it was a great team effort and socially fun day. The blindfold skittles in the Horse and Groom alley proved very popular, as did the Silent Auction, together with a variety of other activities.
“The town mayor opened the event and it was well supported by the town crier. Rotary president, Sue Ezra, and Inner Wheel president, Linda Eaglesham, would like to thank all those who helped, including the Horse and Groom landlord and team, the main sponsors Specsavers, Fine Signs for the banner, the local Guide Dogs’ representatives and those 17 individuals and businesses who donated prizes for the silent auction completed on the day – details of the prizes and donors are on the Westbury Rotary website.
“Rotary is active in the town with the main Rotary club now supported by a newly-formed satellite club. If you would like further information, please do not hesitate to look at the Westbury Rotary website where you will see how to contact us if you wish to do so.”
