WESTBURY’S White Horse Health Centre held a health fair in November, inviting all their patients to find out about the services available to them.
They report, “We provided a drop-in flu clinic, smear clinic, asthma reviews, blood pressure checks and tea/coffee from our committed Patient Participation Group.
“The attendance was very positive, as was the feedback from both our patients, stand holders and colleagues. As a health care organisation, it is important for us to work with our patients to maintain and improve their health and well-being. By holding this kind of event, we hope to improve patients’ understanding of the services available to support them. It was also a good networking opportunity for our colleagues and community partners in facilitating collaborative working.
“Unfortunately the blood pressure monitoring machine which will be in the waiting room, was not available in time for this event, however we will let patients know when this is installed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our patients and dedicated colleagues in supporting the event.”
