A Westbury fundraiser has lent her support to a different cause at a recent charity coffee morning.
Hilary Reed is a well-known volunteer for Guide Dogs for the Blind and has raised thousands for the cause over the years.
Earlier this month, she held a coffee morning at United Church in Warminster to raise money for a different charity: Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance. Joined by Warminster’s Anita Silk and guide dog puppy Abby, the pair sold hot drinks and cakes to raise money.
Hilary said, “I think the main reason we chose this charity is because it is run on voluntary contribution as many charities are, but more importantly we never know when we may need their services! It is important to keep the ambulance in the air!”
The United Church in Warminster holds a coffee morning each month on the second Saturday and members of the congregation choose a charity they wish to support. Hilary will hold a coffee morning at the church in December to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
