The Active Retirement Club held its first meeting of 2019 with “What’s My Line”, where members spoke for a few minutes each about their professional past.
From lab-testing water to lecturing in Malawi, via policing in Wiltshire, teaching children in Trowbridge, and the world of publishing, the variety of occupations kept everyone interested.
The ARC holds raffles through the year to raise money for good causes, and the sum collected in 2018 was presented to Crosspoint.
The next meeting will be held at the United Reformed Church hall at 10.30am on Tuesday 22 January, when Owen Rogers will speak about the work of the Woodland Trust. Phone Bruce on 07968 662593 or visit www.arcwest bury.club
