There’s a show for the Merlin’s younger clientele on Sunday 17th May (two performances, 11.30am and 3.00pm) when Untied Artists in association with Oxford Playhouse present ‘The Boy who bit Picasso’.
Inspired by the book by Antony Penrose and devised and directed by Jake Oldershaw, this is the story of a little boy called Tony who had the most extraordinary friend… Pablo Picasso!
Children aged four up are invited to come and play down on the farm with Tony and Picasso, have loads of fun, make crazy pictures and hear the story of how a young boy became friends with one of the greatest artists who ever lived.
‘The Boy Who Bit Picasso’ is an interactive theatre show for everyone aged four and over. With storytelling, music and lots of chances to make your own art, this hands-on family show introduces one of the 20th Century’s most influential artists through the eyes of a young boy.
Be sure to wear some play-clothes because it may get messy!
Tickets £8, £5 concessions. running time 70 mins (no interval) www.merlintheatre.co.uk or 01373 465949.
