THREE people from Westbury have been summoned to court following a violent clash at the annual hunt in Lacock last December.
The hunt took place during the morning of December 27. Footage of scuffles between anti-hunting protestors and supporters were widely shared on social media.
Following extensive enquiries, the following people from Westbury have now been summonsed to court for Section 4 Public Order offences: Callum Lewis (26), Andrew Purbrick (59) and William Renny (30).
The three are due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on April 6 alongside Evan Lorne (18) from Melksham and Adrian Earl (52) from Calne.
Wiltshire Police say, “We’ve undertaken a review of our policing approach regarding this incident and, upon the conclusion of these criminal proceedings, we will publish a summary of this review.”
