TWENTY local groups and clubs received a share of over £38,000 from Westbury Town Council at its annual grants presentation evening, held on Friday 28th October.

For the first time, Westbury mayor, cllr Sheila Kimmins, made the presentation part of the mayor’s Civic Reception, to enable the recipients to be recognised by the town. Presenting the cheques, cllr Kimmins praised the work of the groups and thanked them for the huge contribution they make to the local community.
Representatives from the following groups received the grants; White Horse Day Centre, Blue Circle Bowls Club, Westbury Youth Club, Wessex Stationary Engine Club, Carers Support Wiltshire, Families Out Loud, Westbury French Twinning, Westbury Choral Society, Cygnets Pre School, Westbury Area Network, Westbury U3A, Friends of Westbury Station, Westbury Amateur Swimming Club, Westbury Shed, West Wilts Youth Sailing Association, Westbury Heritage Society, Westbury Festival, Crosspoint, 4Youth, Stepping Stones, Wiltshire Sight, Group Five, Westbury Cricket Club and Westbury Infants School.
