The Westbury Community Project, together with POP-CAN, held the first Uniform Hand It On event on Friday 28th August at the WCP premises in Eden Vale Road.
There were around 30 families that came along and were able to offset some of the cost of sending their children back to school this autumn with the correct uniforms.
The volunteers were overwhelmed by the amount of uniform clothing received and the generosity of the donors. Many of the families that attended on the 28th asked that the donors be thanked.
It is hoped that the Uniform Hand It On event will be held again later this year, so please do not throw away any outgrown clothes, so that they may be passed on later in the year.
