Westbury United are set to return to league action on Saturday 19th December following the lockdown enforced break. There are two home Saturday matches at Meadow Lane to look forward to, followed by another home game on the Bank Holiday Monday.
Cadbury Heath visit first for a 3pm kick off, then there is a local derby versus Bradford Town on Boxing Day which kicks off at 12.30. The trio of games end with the visit of Shepton Mallet at 3pm on Monday 28th.
United were due to play a ‘double header’ of friendlies against Corsham Town, however due to the weather and injuries, this became a one off on Tuesday 8th December.
What a performance it was by the hosts who blitzed their opponents by scoring 5 goals in 8 first half minutes! These goals were scored by Jamie Jordan (2), Jake Hutchings, Dan Price and Steve Hulbert.
The second half was a quieter affair until Ryan Bole made it 6-0. Corsham then pulled 2 goals back through Gary Higdon, before Sam Jordan completed a 7-2 win late on!
