Westbury had to dig deep to see off a spirited finish by local rivals Bradford on a hot afternoon.
United dominated for long spells without being able to create many clear-cut chances while Town’s best pressure came at the end of both halves.
The visitors forced numerous corners and throw ins in the final third from which Sam Francis, Aaron Cockerill and Josh Jenkins had efforts blocked or were off target.
The scorer of four goals in the previous round, CJ Stewart, got on the end of Francis’ through ball and finished excellently; however the goal was disallowed for offside.
Towards half-time Jack Farion, Owen Allison and Tom Mack threatened for the hosts however keeper Joel Manning and Jamie Jordan kept them out.
Home keeper Tom Creed saved well from Aaron Witchell then caught Francis’ rebound header.
After the break Westbury were completely dominant with Jack Witcombe lively in attack on several occasions without finding a way through.
Jenkins was unable to find a finish three times when well placed, however it was he who netted the only goal on 67; a clever corner routine between Ryan Bole and Jordan led to Jenkins dispatching a low finish into the net!
Witcombe raced forward with 10 minutes remaining however he was superbly tackled by a home defender.
Then came Bradford’s pressure, forcing a series of crosses and corners from which Manning twice turned the ball over his crossbar from attempts by Jensen Wakefield, then they came even closer when Woods’ corner swung in and clipped the bar.
In the fifth minute of added time Manning was busy again to deny Farion then with the last kick of the game the corner taker wasted his chance to create more danger.
