THIS year’s annual Westbury Lions concert will take place on 14th March in the Matravers School theatre.
Westbury Lions Club says, “As usual, all eight schools in Westbury will join together for an evening of celebration and community. Based around a theme of “I Can!”, schools are preparing songs with positive messages and engaging in the importance of a growth mindset.
“This year, for the first time, the schools will also put together a 25-strong Westbury Youth string ensemble, encompassing string players from across the schools. Also for the first time, there will be a number of soloists from across the schools as well as songs which have been written and composed by the students themselves.
“All in all, this event will prove to be a wonderful gala of music-making in our schools.”
